Death of iPad Infinite Profit

Reducing the demand for tablets in the United States and Europe, as well as increased production of the iPhone and, as expected, delayed release iPad mini will affect the delivery of iPad in 2014, according to a study of Taiwanese portal Digitimes.

According to analysts of the portal, in 2014, will be delivered 70 million iPad, 8% less than last year.

Issue iPad sixth generation began in August. As expected, the tablet will go on sale early in the fourth quarter of this year.

Forecast to Digitimes Research, supply iPad reached only 22.5 million units in the fourth quarter of 2014, which is 13.5% less than last year. Deliveries in 2014 will amount to 69.4 million tablets, up 8.32% less than in 2013. This will be the first drop in iPad sales since their introduction on the market in 2010.

Because Apple does not plan to present the new iPad mini in 2014, shipments of tablets will not grow as rapidly as usual, in the fourth quarter. In addition, decreases in demand for tablets in the United States and Europe will also be a reason for the decline in sales of tablets in pre-New Year period.

5.5-inch iPhone, which, according to analysts, will go on sale in the fourth quarter, as well as watch iWatch, will be popular with buyers before the winter holidays, it will also reduce the demand on the iPad mini.
