3. How to Host your Domain name, which you bought on GoDaddy, on Hostgator?

  • Login to your GoDaddy account
  • Click on My Account button (left upper corner)
  • Click on Domains – you’ll see the list of your Domain names
  • Click on Launch button (last column) of Domain you want to transfer
  • Find Nameservers section (under Domain Information column)
  • Click on Set Nameservers – pop up window will appear
  • Tick “I have specific nameservers for my domains”
  • Under Nameservers1 and Nameservers2 put information, that you receive from Hostgator, and Click OK    (If you don’t receive this information in your Welcome email from Hostgator, you can easily find it yourself. Login to your control panel, scroll down up to the bottom of the page and on the left hand side you’ll see Account Information. Nameservers are there – they are ending on hostgator.com)

That is ALL – in couple of hours your Domain name will be transfered to Hostgator and you can start to upload information to your own website!

 

4. Start working.

In order to put your first post to your own website you have to install some software. The easiest one is WordPress. Totally FREE, easy to use, provided by ALL major Domain and Hosting Registrators.

Let’s take Hostgator, as you just here.

  • Log in  to your Control Panel
  • Scroll down and find Software/Services section
  • Click on Quick Install button
  • You’ll be redirected to the next page at the top of which you can find WordPress button
  • Click on it and Install (it will ask you to create Login and Password)

You are ready to CONQUER Internet!
